CAUTIONS: Absolutes should be avoided during pregnancy and never ingested (taken internally) and should be kept away from children and pets. No medicinal claims are made for this product and the notes above are provided for guidance purposes only. Absolute Oils are powerful plant extracts and should be used with extreme caution. You should seek the advice of a qualified practitioner should you be in any doubt.

It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance – particularly the rare and exotic notes – become lost.

Traditional Uses For Tobacco Absolute Oil:-

Tobacco absolute is often employed as a base note in perfumery, adding its touch in ‘dry’ or ‘masculine’ scented perfumes. Carrying a distinct smell which is difficult, if not impossible, to imitate. It has no aromatherapy associations that have been noted. It is used in some confectionery, particularly high end chocolate.

Tobacco Absolute Oil Blends Well With:-

Bergamot, Clary Sage, and Sandalwood in particular but also most Citrus oils.

History:-

Tobacco has been used and cultivated in America for a very long time, 10,000 years by some accounts. High nicotine content varieties of Nicotiana tabacum and Nicotiana rustica were prized by many tribes. Both species are thought to be cultivars. N. rustica (Wild Tobacco) contains about 10 times the nicotine of N. tabacum, and should be considered one of the most important hallucinogenic entheogens, although both have been used ritually and shamanically by many tribes throughout the Americas.

CAUTIONS Tobacco Absolute oil should not be used on broken or irritated skin.
