Ocimum basilicum from which Basil Absolute Oil is extracted, is annual Herb and grows 20-50 cm (8-20 in); when in bloom the purple- white flowers appear in clusters, framed by oval pointed green leaves. Basil Absolute oil is extracted from the flowering sweet Basil. It is grown commercially throughout Europe, the Mediterranean, Pacific Islands and in America.
