AROMATIC: Flax Seed smells a bit like freshly melted butter but like all cold pressed untreated vegetable oils has a slight fatty note.
EXTRACTION METHOD: Cold Pressed
COLOUR: Light Brown
CONSISTENCY: Typical and Characteristic of cold pressed vegebale oils.
ABSORPTION: Flax Seed oil is readily absorbed.
SHELF LIFE: FlaxSeed oil is quick to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of between 3 and 6 Months with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended. It can become a solid at cool temperatures.
Flax seed is very high in the natural anti-oxidant Vitamin E. It is also a good oil for preventing scarring and stretch marks.
USES: Flax seed is often added to other carrier oils and creams and lotions in order to add skin strengthening properties.
