Burgan sometimes known as the White tea-tree or Kunzea is a small tree that is native to Australia and New Zealand. up till 25 or so years ago it was classified as a Leptospermum to which Manuka belongs as it shares many of its characteristics.

Do not confuse it with the esential oil often known as Kunzea which is more often Kunzea ambigua and is generally and better known as Tick Bush or White Cloud Essential oil
